Coaching FAQs
What even is coaching?
1
Coaching is a conversation. Except like other conversations you might have in life with a loved one, colleague or neighbour, coaching is a safe and supportive space for you to raise concerns, issues and goals without other’s bringing in their perspectives, opinons or past history. You can then spend time exploring your issues/goals by looking at what is the ideal, what is happening in reality, what are the options and confirming what you will do.
Why would I need coaching?
2
People come to coaching for many different reasons. Perhaps you are feeling stuck in life, maybe you have goals but are low on motivation or unsure how to progress. Others have a clearer sense of direction but lack confidence, constantly second-guess themselves, and are finding repeated blocks to moving forward.
Many people use coaching time to explore a career crossroads. From hating their job and feeling trapped, to exploring dormant passions or new careers, people often want to explore how to be fufilled at work, feel confident in their skillsets and figure out how to trust themselves.
I can think on my own, why do I need a coach to help me think?
3
My role as the coach, is to hold the space for you and provide structure. I ask clarifying questions to support you to go deeper and reflect your answers to allow you to hear yourself. I help hold up a mirror so you can have a conversation with yourself.
I also am trained in a model to move you through an ideals or dreaming phase to the reality and ownership. We then move to options and lastly to action and support. I use the model so you are free to concentrate on your dialogue with self uninterrupted.
What is clean coaching?
4
Clean coaching is a model where your coaching questions are designed to be "clean", This means that as a coach I do not introduce any of my own suggestions, opinions, or ancedotes.
Does coaching really need to be an hour?
5
Coaching is giving yourself the gift of time. Modern life is so busy between work, home life, social time, errands and other commitments. How often do you get a chance to really sit and think? 1 hour is enough for you to sift through your thoughts and really get to the underlying issues and your key motivators. Dedicated time without interuptions gives you the opportunity to meet your inner guide, build trust with yourself and create a plan for forward movement.

Logistics FAQs
You may want to sit and think about what you would like to cover in your coaching session. However, how you turn up on the day is also ok too.
To get the most out of a coaching session, try to find a quiet space where you might not be overheard. This will allow you to feel safe to share your thoughts.
Thinking about your comfort is great, are you somewhere warm? Do you need water or a cup of tea. You might wish to gather a notebook and pen, to capture your thoughts.
